1. What this site is
A directory of venues in England and Wales that appear on the GOV.UK list of premises approved for civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. It is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Listings show the approval expiry date from that list. We also show information published on venues’ own websites, quoted with a link to the source and the date we retrieved it.
2. Accuracy
The register and venue information can change. We do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current or accurate. Before booking, confirm licence status, capacity, prices and availability with the venue and the local register office. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
3. Venue listings
Basic listings are free and are based on the public register. A venue may claim its listing to correct or add information. Paid tiers, when offered, are subscriptions that can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the period already paid for. Paid placements are always labelled. Payment never changes the register data we show.
4. Content you give us
If you submit venue content, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the venue and that you have the right to share the content. You give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site. We may edit or remove content that is inaccurate or unlawful.
5. Corrections and removal
See corrections & removal. We aim to act within 7 days.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on directory information. [Final wording subject to legal review.]
