What we collect and why
- Newsletter and licence reminders: your email address, which venue you chose for reminders, and a record of your consent. The lawful basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time. These are processed by our email provider (planned: Brevo).
- Venue claims and corrections: your name, role, work email, phone number and message. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping listings accurate, or taking steps towards a contract if you subscribe.
- Venue business contact data: venue names, addresses and business phone numbers from the public register (OGL), plus business contact details published on venues’ own websites. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in running an accurate public directory and contacting businesses about their listing. You can object at any time.
- Analytics: aggregated, cookieless statistics (planned: Plausible). We do not use advertising cookies.
- Saved venues and compare lists: these are stored only in your browser and are never sent to us. Postcode searches are sent to postcodes.io to look up the location.
Retention
Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Claim and correction records are kept for up to 2 years. [Final retention periods are subject to legal review.]
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
